The launch challenge
Uprise BBQ had built a catering business but did not yet have a fixed location or a professional image library. After experimenting with AI-generated imagery, the team recognized that its launch required authentic, professionally directed photographs of the actual menu.
They knew the images needed to work on the website and food-ordering platforms, but the visual direction was still open. Dave translated their theme and early concepts into practical sets, lighting and compositions.

Creative ownership
Dave directed the project, styled the food, designed the sets and photographed the menu so the imagery would feel connected even as dishes, angles and use cases changed.
The plan began with 15 items. Over a 16-hour production, the team completed 25 menu-item shots and built a library of more than 100 finalized images—enough to launch with consistency across the brand’s primary digital touchpoints.

“His talents and unique style far exceeded our expectations, delivering results that perfectly captured the essence of what we wanted and needed.”
